Litfest National Poetry Day Environment Mosaic

All the poems in the Litfest ‘Environment’ Poetry Mosaic respond to the 2022 National Poetry Day theme of ‘Environment’, and were submitted by members of the public and schoolchildren from the Lancaster area. The mosaic of images shows the the topics covered by the poems.

In the days leading up to National Poetry Day, poet Clare Shaw curated a selection of outstanding poems from Litfest ‘Environment’ Poetry Mosaic,  which were read at a special National Poetry Day showcase event.

Huge congratulations to our winning poets: Jane Burn, Dillon Jaxx, Cora Greenhill, Antony Christie, Roger Allen, Bryony Rogers, Rae Davey, Joe Williams, Ian Seed, Kathleen Jones, Elizabeth Gibson and Karen Lloyd, as well as all the short-listed poets!

And congratulations must also go to the winners of our schools competition: Lauren Davenport (LGGS), Beatrix Dudek (LGGS) and Justine Wilson (Ripley St Thomas).

You can either click on the links in the mosaic to browse the poems, including winning poems, or search in the list below the mosaic.
