Queer by Gum – Special Litfest Workshop
Saturday 16 March, 4-6pm
This workshop will explore what it is to exist as queer people in different spaces and what this means to you.
As anti-trans rhetoric ratchets up around the world, this workshop will create a space to share our stories and experiences through a variety of activities pivoted around creative writing, music and performance. Participants are invited to bring along ideas and an open mind.
The workshop will be followed by an evening of queer music and poetry at The Gregson Arts and Community Centre, an opportunity for workshop participants to perform their own work and share music and experiences.
There will be 30 places only for this workshop. To apply, please email [email protected] with the subject: Queer By Gum Workshop.
Facilitators
Vaz, founder of Queer By Gum, is a freelance artist, musician and educator. Their practice is based around the idea that art and craft is synonymous with power, both personal and political.
