Myth-Making Workshop with Lancaster Lore

Date: Saturday 16 March

Time: 2pm

Location: The Reading Room @ The Storey

Join Mike Forde of Lancaster Lore in reseeding Lancaster with living stories. Together, we’ll explore old and new myths hidden across the city and you’ll have the chance to write and craft your own local stories.

Take inspiration from forgotten snippets of local history, re-imagine the stories of Lancaster’s witches, boggarts and ghosts or forge a brand new legend about your favourite corner of the city.

This workshop is open to absolutely everyone: young and old, writing newbies and keen scribblers, local history buffs and anyone who’s just a little curious! Come along and create your own local lore!

There are 20 places for this 90-minute workshop. To register, email [email protected] with the subject: Lancaster Lore Workshop.

Lancaster Lore is an open-source folklore community on a quest to reseed Lancaster with living stories rooted in every corner of the city. We want to nurture a living ecosystem of myths and legends told and retold by local people, and ultimately create a common imagined landscape which connects us as a community to each other and to this place.
