Wildlife Photography

Competition Winners

On 16 March, Lancaster-based photographer Darren Andrews teamed up with Jon Carter to present a fascinating conversation about bird populations, migration, climate change and the challenges of wildlife photography.

To tie in with this event, Litfest ran a wildlife photography competition — for which we can now announce the winners!  Huge congratulations to our Litfest Photography Competition winners, whose photos are displayed below.

In all, we received so many entries of such a high standard that our three judges – photographer Darren Edwards, RSPB Leighton Moss’s Visitor Experience Manager, Jonathan Carter, and photographer and Litfest’s office manager, Jonny Bean – had a hard time selecting the winners.

Honourable mentions must also go to: Gareth Whiston for Kingfisher, Steve Ripley for Tawny Owl, Becca Leanne for Goldfinch and Thistles and Keith Bannister for Cuckoo.
