Sometimes I wonder if Mother Earth is happy,
With the weight of mankind to bear.
Maybe the oceans are her tears,
For she knows that we don’t care.
But then I remember that earth doesn’t feel,
It’s the creatures and plants that’ll die.
It’s the life on this planet that we are killing,
What we tell each other is a lie.
Perhaps I’ll look through a smaller lense,
The local environment seems better.
Most people are responsible,
We can be example- setters.
Then why do we destroy her,
Why don’t we do more?
Why aren’t we angry,
When we know what is in store.
So help when you can,
You won’t feel unhappy.
Then ask yourself this question,
Is Mother Earth happy?
