Saturday 22 February 2pm
Saturday 8 March 2pm

Location: The Reading Room at the Storey

Unmoored Tales is a collaborative storytelling project that reimagines the myths and lore of the Lancaster Canal. Through a series of workshops, we’ll uncover the creatures – real and imagined – who inhabit its murky waters and re-tell their stories.

Led by local writer and storyteller Mike Forde, participants will explore the craft of storytelling and have the chance to perform in a public showcase during Litfest on 11 March at 7:00 pm. (You can book a ticket for the showcase here.)

Unmoored Tales is part of Lancaster Lore, an open-source storytelling community on a quest to re-story the city.

There are up to 20 places available on these storytelling workshops. To register, please email [email protected] with the subject line ‘Unmoored Tales’. Places will be allocated on a strictly first-come, first-served basis.

If you are unable to take up your place, please email [email protected] as soon as possible so that we can allocate your spot to someone on the waiting list.
