Poems About Consumerism

The adverts:

Heavenly chocolate, smooth and creamy
Heavenly beach is hot and dreamy
Heavenly scent, the bathtub’s steamy
Buy it now, indulge yourself.

The atheist:
‘Oh my god’ is exclamation
Needs no further explanation.
Find your joy in merchandise
Buy your way to paradise.

The choice:
Deafened by the endless clamour
Chats, Likes, Friends and lots of glamour.
Time to think is what you need
Stop and listen, then take heed.
