In June, the Litfest International Fiction Book Club discussed Tokyo Ueno Station by Yu Miri, translated from the Japanese by Morgan Giles .  As an exciting departure from our usual practice we were delighted to welcome Australian blogger Tony Malone, one of the best-read champions of literature in translation (and especially of Japanese and South Asian literature), instigator of the Shadow Booker International Prize for Fiction and prolific author of the internationally respected blog Tony’s Reading List , to introduce the book:
