Routes into Publishing: UCLAN Workshop

Have you ever considered a career in publishing? The University of Central Lancashire runs an award-winning course where students get to experience working on commercial publications. Alexa Gregson-Kenmuir and Chris Moore will run this workshop, which will give up to 15 attendees aged 16–25 a taster of what a career in publishing can entail and some creative and engaging activities tied to this.

Litfest invites anyone and everyone interested to apply for one of 15 places. Please note that a number of places in each workshop will be reserved free for writers of colour and those from diverse and low-income backgrounds.

The deadline for applications to this workshop has now passed, but you can still email info@litest.org to be put on the waiting list.

Alexa Gregson-Kenmuir is project lead for UCLan Publishing and is Lecturer in Publishing. Alexa has worked in marketing and sales at Palgrave and Macmillan. She is passionate about preparing students with the skills and understanding that helps them to thrive in the workplace.

CG Moore is the author of Fall Out and Carnegie-nominated Gut Feelings. He lectures in Publishing and previously lectured on the BA and MA in Publishing programmes at the UCLan as well as working for companies including Farshore Books, HarperCollins Publishers and Arts Council England.
