For this special festival edition of the book club we are delighted to welcome the acclaimed Argentinian writer Mariana Enriquez and her translator Megan McDowell to discuss The Dangers of Smoking in Bed, which was shortlisted for the 2021 Booker International Prize.

Mariana Enriquez is the author of the story collection Things We Lost in the Fire. Her novel, Our Share of Night, will be published in 2022. She lives in Buenos Aires.
Megan McDowell has translated work by Carlos Fonseca, Samanta Schweblin and Alejandro Zambra. She lives in Santiago, Chile.
